Holly Holden is a singer from London, UK, whose melodies are catchy and cheerful. Her most eclectic career allowed her to collaborate with people as far apart on the musical map as rappers and folk artists. In a nutshell, Holly Holden creates a diverse and sunny kind of music, influenced by the Caribbean in general and Cuba in particular. She’s taken part both in WOMAD and in the North Sea Jazz, as well as in the Santo Domingo Jazz Festival.

Early influences such as Amy Winehouse and Regina Spektor inspired her to start writing and performing during stints living in Bristol, Berlin and Ecuador. In 2012, she self released an acoustic album, ‘Feet on the Ceiling’.

Aside from her solo work, Holly is also one half of Anglo-Cuban collaborative project X Planet with rapper Alain Garcia Artola of rap trio TNT la Rezistencia. Their album ‘Xistence’ was produced by legendary reggaeton producer Kiki Pro in Santiago de Cuba in 2012, and well received in Cuba and London.
