Tyra Banks has put her mansion on the market – and she’s asking for a cool $17.5 million for it. The model bought the duplex – located in Battery Park City, New York – for $10 million back in 2009. Now that she’s happily married to husband Erik Asla and a mum to one-year-old son York, the television personality is seemingly making the huge change as she adjusts to life as a wife and mother.

The luxurious building features five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a dressing room, a hair salon and a personal gym. Tyra is willing to allow the property to be rented – however, it will still cost a hefty amount at $50,000 a month!

The mansion being re-listed on the market indicates that Tyra has managed to calm things down after rumours that her marriage was on the rocks last year. After tying the knot in 2013, Tyra and Erik were allegedly feeling a strain on their relationship after welcoming their son. According to a report by Page Six in July 2016, ‘Asla [had] gone so far as to tell relatives he’s looking for his own apartment, and those close to him fear the relationship is coming to an end’. Meanwhile, another insider said that the pair ‘[were] riding out this difficult time’.

After the apparent rough period, it’s clear that the starlet is devoting the bulk of her time to sorting out her business affairs. As well as selling off a proportion of her estate, the 43-year-old celebrity is looking ahead to improving the new season of America’s Next Top Model after removing the age limit for contestants. She’s also filling in for Nick Cannon as a judge on the new season of America’s Got Talent. In a press release, Tyra said:

“I look forward to connecting with the dreamers, having fun and giving hugs and words of encouragement when needed. And maybe I’ll get one or two performers to smize for the audience!”

The sky’s still the limit for Tyra

From her relationship to her career, everything seems to be going very well for Tyra. She’ll no doubt be thrilled if someone agrees on the $17.5 million price tag for the property in New York.
